1. How to get NZGO Client software?

Download the zipped file from URL: http://www/itrustit.co.nz/software/NZGO Client

2. How to install NZGO Client software?

Unzip it to an empty folder.

Use Windows Explorer to open this folder.

Double clicked "install.bat" file.

Use the default or type in a new installation path, Click "Ok"

	Software will be installed in the specified foler, and

	A Shortcut on Desktop will automatically created for you to use.

3. How to use NZGO Client application?

Double click the "Shortcut" on Desktop to start the application.

4. How to begin a new local game: 

	From main menu choose "File" -> "New"


5. How to open a local saved game: 

	From main menu choose "File" -> "Open"


6. How to play a network game with somebody else through Internet:


General sequence: 

	Register user (once, for new user only) 

	    |
	    v

	Logon to server (start here for registered user)

	    |
	    v
	New game request (need agreement from the other)

	    |
	    v
	Play ...

	    |
	    v
	End a game, or finish playing, and thus start marking dead stones

	    |
	    v
	Done with marking dead stones ...  (need agreement from both players)

	    |
	    v
	<Get Result>

	    |
	    v
	<Save or Close the game>


You must be a registered user to  be able to Logon to game server. 


7. How to  register a user: 

	From main menu choose "File" -> "Register"

	Only username and password is mandatory. They must be at least 6 characters. Username need to begin with a letter.
	If you don't provide skill level, "1d" is default. 
	Email is for notification of new softwares, or new upgrade.


8. How to logon server: 

	From the main menu choose "File" -> "Logon"

	Provide Username and Password for user authentication.


9. How to begin a new game with someone else on network.

	From the user & game list window, right click the User you want to play a game with 
	-> Choose "New" from the popup menu, and wait for confirmation from opponent.


10. How to end a playing game, and start the stage of marking dead stone.

	From the main menu, choose "Game" -> "End", and wait for confirmation from opponent.
	If confirmed, you can mark the dead stones by clicking them. The marked dead stones have red square in middle.


11. How to finish marking dead stones, and judge the result.

	From the main menu, choose "Game" -> "Done", and wait for confirmation from opponent.


12. How to save a game to local file.

	From the main menu choose "File" -> "Save"

		or to save as different file name.

	From the main menu choose "File" -> "SaveAs"

13. How to close a game

	From the main menu choose "File" -> "Close"

	If the game has never been saved, it will just be closed. 


14. To watch a game in playing

	From the user & game list window, right click a playing game -> Choose "Open" from the popup menue.


15. How to refresh User & Game information on game server: 

	Right clicked User Information Window -> Choose "Refresh" from the popup menu.

	This need to be done to get latest information of Users & Games


16. How to adjourn a playing game

	From the main menu, choose "Game" -> "Adjourn", and wait for confirmation from opponent.
	
	Notes: if you close a playing game or disconnect from server without adjourning it, after 3 minutes, 
	you will loss the game. You can Logon within 3 minutes to resume the game though.


17. How to resume a interrup or adjourned game.

	From the main menu, choose "Resume" -> Choose the game from the list of resumable games.


18. How to chat.

	Choose the "Message" tab at Right Up corner. Type your text message, and click "Send".

Troubleshooting:

1. Fail to unzip the downloaded package:

You may need to install WinZip software from "http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm"

2. Fail to run install.bat:

If your Windows does not support VB script, you may experience this problem. You can unzip the package to the installation path:

for exeample:
	c:\NZGO
Manually create a shortcut to NZGO.exe by:

	Right click on spare area of Windows Desktop;
	From the popup menu, choose "New" -> "ShortCut"
	Click "Browse" button, and explore to the installation folder "c:\NZGO"
	Choose "NZGO.exe", and click "OK".
